Debido a que estos \u201cmosquitos\u201d son muy sensibles a la temperatura, las variaciones en las especies pueden emplearse como sensores para los cambios en la temperatura en Sierra Nevada.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los ambientes monta\u00f1osos y alpinos son especialmente fr\u00e1giles y sensibles al cambio clim\u00e1tico. Estudios previos muestran que el aumento de la temperatura y la sequ\u00eda en el Mediterr\u00e1neo est\u00e1 induciendo cambios importantes en las especies animales y vegetales m\u00e1s sensibles al clima en Sierra Nevada.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Este estudio se observa que el calentamiento reciente en Laguna de R\u00edo Seco es de m\u00e1s de dos grados cent\u00edgrados, y sugiere que el aumento de temperatura est\u00e1 amplificado a grandes altitudes en Sierra Nevada.
